Meet Ed & Jenn
Founder Ed’s whisky journey began far from its traditional roots. Growing up in cane country—Bundaberg, the rum capital of Australia—Ed was more familiar with rum as the local spirit of choice. It wasn’t until a business trip to Asia, that he found himself savoring an award-winning 2014 Kavalan and puffing cigars with none other than a Malaysian knight of the realm! It was a far cry from your typical business meeting, but one that ignited Ed’s love for whisky.
Meanwhile, Director Jenn grew up immersed in whisky culture. Raised in the rolling hills of Scotland’s lowlands, she was under the watchful eye of her whisky-obsessed father, Benjy—self-proclaimed as the 'Chief Master Blender.' Safe to say, whisky runs in her veins.
Whisky Business
The stars aligned when Ed and Jenn first met over Irish Coffees at the Gresham Bar in sunny Queensland. It didn’t take long for them to realize that whisky was going to be their thing. What started as a fun whisky collection quickly turned into an obsession—investing in premium, single cask, Australian whisky became their passion.
But in 2023, just collecting wasn’t enough. Ed packed his bags and headed to Tasmania to learn from the legendary Kristy Lark at distillery school! With Ed’s knack for business and marketing and Jenn’s creative flair, I’ll Be Drammed was born! Now, with several special casks under their belts and even more exciting projects on the horizon, Ed and Jenn are thrilled to share their whisky journey with you—delivering nothing less than exceptional drams!
